Retired Telecommunication Technician
John is a long term resident of Brooklyn in
Wellington and has lived there all his life. That
means he really knows the local situation and
what could be better for a Civil Defence radio
operator?

He is the Wellington City Council Civil
Defence Center Manager for Brooklyn and Southern
and Liaison Officer AREC with WEMO ( Amateur Radio
Emergency Corps).

John Barnhill is secretary of the Wellington Amateur
Radio Club Inc and is involved with the Vintage Radio
Society. He spent 21 years as a Volunteer Ambulance
Officer with the W.F.A.
