This is a follow up of a previous campaign "Still not voted? Go Wellington" held one week before the local body elections in October 2007.

After campaigning at the
Basin Reserve during peak hour traffic with a home made sign encouraging people to vote, a very dissapointing turnout of 39.7% made me think about two things.

There must be an easier way to reach the voters hence the VOTE NEW ZEALAND number plates.

But what about the voters? There must be a more user friendly way to make people want to vote.

What if both elections, local and central, could be held at the same time we would save not only money but time and the environment!!! Ensuring voting papers are kept simple and under the one voting system is paramount for a better turnout and a clearer mandate for our children and grandchildren's future. GO NEW ZEALAND.

Hi Sarah,

My name is Maria van der Meel and I live in Wellington New Zealand.
I got this boomerang postcard when I was in Amsterdam in 2007 visiting my daughter who lives there.
What a powerfull message and the contrasts appealed instantly.
I am a mother of 6 and now have 4 grand children and frankly am embarresed with the world I have presented them. Your message "The City is ours" has ownership written all over it and this is what I am hoping to promote in the next Christmas Parade in november 2008 in the City of Wellington New Zealand. Question: Permission to use your material what do I do next? Thanks Maria

This is some overwhelming news.. and I can't even find you on Flickr..
Too bad.
But maybe you'll read this in time (it isn't november yet..).
And I give you the permission to use my picture if you put the copyright Sarah Mead-thing on it. And I would like to have more information about the parade.
Would you email me if you read this?
