THE PACKAGE DEAL FOR COUNCIL L.A.T.E.S AND TRUSTS
At the start of the 2007 triennium a remuneration package deal was struck at Council. At that time Council voted to increase Capacity Directors fees by Fifty percent. That was done at the beginning of the financial crisis when many banks and finance houses were failing and bonuses were still being paid.
Capacity had failed to deliver its savings target and had not meet its Key Performance Indicators and despite that the fifty percent increase to directors when ahead. It is time that the ratepayers were reminded of those events.
