Carless City For Wellington

Hi Bryan/Luigi,

With the recent dialog on the issues of retailers and town planners would now be a good time to consider engaging the New Zealand Property Council in our debate. Or better still is there an option for them to call a meeting now that we know Sir Robert Jones is in favour of "pedestrianization from the Railway Station right to the Embassy Theater"?

Your thoughts.

Yes Bryan,

And I think it is going to take one commited Wellington City Councillor with a finger on the pulse, much like yourself, to start that ball rolling.

I already have a letter of support from Sir Robert Jones dated 3rd of March 2009 encouraging us, and I quote: To keep up the protest and you will prevail.

If Sir Robert himself has stated on the frontpage of the Dompost dated 26th February 2009 that the Golden Mile Proposal is ludicrous,
I wonder who else in the New Zealand Property Council feels that way.

Protesting is good but we should do it well and invite the Big Boys to join in. Now's good.
