Dear Councillor Pepperell,

3rd of January 2009

Dom Post reporter Dave Burgess wrote an article on the proposed penny pinching efforts by WCC to save $50 million over the next 10 years this proposal forgot to introduce a 10% room tax for every visitor to Wellington chosing to stay in our hotels as is common in most major cities all over the world.

But seriously how about canning the Indoor Community Stadium and saving $50 million in 3 seconds including council workers jobs and keeping the City as we know and love it, accessable to all.

Ever mindfull of the fact that Wellington ratepayers are already paying too much with their property values out of date and in some cases overvalued by $30-$50.000.

Give us (Wellington Ratepayers) a break and ask all the codes that hope to access that stadium for their contributions if they want it that much.

When we proposed to build a Skatepark in Island Bay WCC told us to do just that and more, now everything is being handed on a silver plate because I want it.

Is it true that Ms Prendergast is connected with Netball NZ and if so should there be a case of conflict of interest?
